There should be no horizontal scrolling bar in view at 800
x 600 screen resolution,* believe it or not but there are people
out there that still use this screen size resolution, as I can
confirm by my stats information, and whilst I still get visitors
with this resolution, I will keep this in my criteria (test
your screen resolution here) a back to top facility on long
pages, alt tags on your graphics are a plus, if there are little
red X's where graphics should be you will lose points for this,*
there should be no internal broken links and limited to three
(3) external links, you will lose points if there are*
We really would not like to see any under construction sites,(
we can't evaluate pages with nothing on them) right click disablement
is not a fool proof way of saving you from having your work
copied ( evaluators use the the right click for other purposes)
the evaluation of your site will end if the right click is disabled,
also, sites that need a password or our name to enter any part
of their site will be disqualified (an organised memberships
login is excluded).
Automatic downloads requiring to install software so as to
view or listen to something on your site, will not gain you
points,* no off button for music if played on any page will
also lose you points.*
If you collect information off your visitors, then a privacy
statement should be present, you should also have a copyright
statement, preferably a link to them on each page, absolutely
no copyright infringements, if you use other peoples work, it
should be stated that you have done so, and credit is given
to them.
I don't claim my site to be WC3, or have CSS therefore, if you
do, it will be checked, and if the validation does not pass, you
will loose points.*
